this week

This week has been fairly frustrating. Davault scheduled a conference call on Tuesday morning, but somehow some sort of miscommunication occured, and The Examiner folks did not pick up. Finally we were able to talk to them, and we rescheduled for Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the phone was ready (unlike Tuesday), and then no answer again. Some stuff came up out there and we were unable to talk to them again.

Anyways, we are just going to keep on doing what we're doing. We wanted to talk to them about the coupon application, putting up a house ad/fan box, and a Facebook badge.

Anyways, this is just plain difficult. Davault said he would call the advertising guy to discuss the coupon application.

this week

I continued to do our posts, but no comments or likes so that was disappointing.

We scheduled a conference call for 9:30 on Tuesday, so we can try to continue moving forward. The Examiner has not been as helpful as we had hoped. They only just put up a house ad, and we are still waiting on a Facebook badge and to put up a coupon app.

See you tomorrow.

this week

So, I am continuing to update the page. We are still marketing to individuals.

We were supposed to meet on Friday, and neither Davault or Lauren showed up to prepare for the presentation, so we are meeting again tonight.

We are up to about 125 fans, so we are getting to where we need to be fan-wise.

The Examiner still is not running house ads on their site, and they have yet to respond to an email I sent them last week about that and a couple other things.

This week

We finally got The Examiner to change the Facebook link on their website from the old fan page to the new one. That way, maybe the no-longer in use page will stop getting bigger.

BIGGEST WIN OF THE WEEK!- I finally illicited a comment with one of my wall posts. It was awesome, since I have not been able to get someone to write on yet. It was about Grain Valley's flu outbreak.

Next, we are continuing to personally market the page. I am continuing to do our updates.

When we get more fans, we plan to host a columnist discussion. We also hope to see house ads for our fan page on The Examiner's site too.

LAUNCH

So, this was an extremely eventful week. On Wednesday, we launched our new Facebook Fan Page for The Examiner. You can find it by searching "Blue Springs Examiner" or "Independence Examiner."

We have divied up the cities in the coverage area to find groups related to them to market the page to.

I have done our updates so far.

The old page had about 240 fans, and the new one has a little more than 40. We are updating the old site, to tell people to move to the new one. Soon...hopefully we will surpass the old page.
